As a Performer

Kelly was the winner of the 2022 UNSW Concerto Competition, making her concerto debut as the soloist in Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in E minor under the baton of Steven Hillinger with the UNSW Symphony Orchestra at the Sir John Clancy Auditorium. Hailed as "One of the greatest piano concertos ever," the work has long been a cornerstone of the concert pianist's repertoire. Kelly’s performance was highly praised for its virtuosity, rich colours, and sensitivity. Her interviews with the Music Performance Department and CutCommon Magazine were published in the same year.

In 2024, Kelly performed George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with the Sydney Youth Orchestra, conducted by Steve Williams, at the White Bay Power Station. The concert drew over 1,000 attendees and received widespread acclaim for Kelly’s dynamic and captivating performance. Additionally, she had the privilege of working with the principal conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic.

In March, 2025, Kelly performed the Rhapsody in Blue with the Sydney Wind Symphony Orchestra- A leading concert band which was established in 1985. The concert was a Ruby Celebration of its 40 years in concerts. The concert was a tremendous success and Kelly’s performance was highly praised by the audience for its colours, musicality and charm.

as an educator

Kelly has over a decade of teaching experience and has guided over 500 students, many of whom have achieved the highest grades through the Australian Music Examinations Board.

Kelly is also a fully qualified high school music teacher. She has taught music classes at Beverly Hills Girls High School, Randwick Girls High School, and Punchbowl Boys High School. Currently, she currently serves as the principal piano teacher at Marist Catholic College North Shore.

Her experience in classroom teaching has given her valuable insights into students’ learning and behaviour, enriching her approach as a music educator. Kelly also has a deep understanding of educational psychology and incorporates mindfulness and meditation techniques into her teaching practice.

Kelly has been the principal piano teacher at Marist Catholic College North Shore (MCCNS) since 2021, bringing over 10 years of teaching experience to students of all ages and skill levels. As one of Sydney's trailblazers in integrating meditation and mindfulness into piano education, she offers a holistic approach that nurtures both technical development and artistic expression.

Under her mentorship, many students have developed a profound passion for music. Kelly is also the member of the Music Teachers’ Association of NSW. ‍
